The "Dog-Thing" is the alien organism after it infiltrates the sled dog and reveals its true nature inside the kennel,its body splitting and blooming into a grotesque mass of writhing flesh, tendrils, and malformed faces as it tries to assimilate the other dogs. It’s less a single creature than a transforming infection: an imitation that can suddenly erupt into a multi-limbed, shape-shifting horror built from whatever it’s absorbed.
