From the Arthurian Christmas tale "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight", comes the titular character in his frightfully formidable form as the representative of nature, the supernatural ways of old and death itself. The knight is clad in an imposing suit of armor with a helmet depicting the ancient face of "Green Man" while holding his legendary battle axe and a shield emblazoned with a branch of holly, a symbol of his dual nature and of the Yuletide. The knight also wears the infamous magic green belt featured in the tale. (This piece was very much influenced by the production design of John Boorman's "Excalibur") Figure stands 5.75"
